Rum Cake for Breakfast

i went to a friend’s wedding shower on saturday, and her sweet family loaded us up with food to take home. two kinds of spanakopita (one made by a guest’s mom, and the other by a local restaurant), and a couple of pieces of a rum bundt cake. the next morning i treated myself to rum cake, banana, and pomegranate juice for breakfast. will i do this again? i’m not sure… i think rum cake belongs at the end of a meal, not as the main actor. however, it was delicious.

as a disclaimer, i clearly didn’t make any of this, but i’m still categorizing it as homemade. the cake was homemade, just not by me!
